- Fraxel is a lunch time in office procedure. A regular treatment of the full face takes only 15 minutes. The treatment area is cleansed and a topical anaesthetic gel is applied for 45 minutes before the treatment.
- The treatment is generally non painful, patients generally experience a pin and needles sensation similar to threading or waxing.
- Dr Russo has developed a unique technique that requires less number of treatments to archive the optimum results. Most patients require only between one to three treatments, approximately three to six weeks apart. You can space the treatment further apart if that is more convenient.
- Post procedure recovery time is 2-4 days during which time pinkness, dryness, flaking and mild swelling may occur which can be easily concealed by make up.
- No sun exposure is allowed for the first 4 weeks from the treatment and the use of a SPF 30 product is recommended for 8 weeks following the treatment.
